UNSOC facilitates weekly training sessions to teach our members everything about MUN. Come out to enhance your skills in debate, public speaking, negotiation, procedure and resolution writing. Training prepares you for our conferences, and allows you to engage in discussion of various issues through MUN simulations and mock-debates. Members are expected to try their best to attend the training sessions. Apart from training, they provide UNSOC the opportunity to meet each other, hold elections, present important announcements, and for the exec to engage with the membership. Topics for training sessions will be provided 4-5 days in advance in the Newsletter and on the website. Anyone interested in joining UNSOC is always encouraged to come out!

Fridays from 3-5pm in room WW119, Woodsworth College 119 St. George Street

These sessions are perfect for those who are new to MUN, or want to brush up on the fundamentals. During the same time period we also offer a separate session for Advanced training to take your MUN skills to the next level. Focusing on a different aspect of Model UN every week, the weekly training sessions will teach you everything, from writing resolutions, to parliamentary procedure.

Training Syllabus and Resources

Our training directors have created a guide to the training schedule and what they cover each week. This is a great resource to review or catch up on what you may have missed. Check it out here.
